Louisville Diversified Services manages several commercial operations:
- A packaging operation with UPS Supply Chain Solutions
- A landscaping business (based at The Garden House day program)
- A janitorial business
- A commercial laundry at the V.A. Medical Center
LDS small businesses employ over 100 adults with developmental disabilities and generate over $1,000,000 in gross revenues per year.
Each business is "community based," that is, our clients work in typical work settings rather than in sheltered workshops. However, since these are our own businesses, we can structure the work environment to meet employees' needs.
As a result, we are able to offer jobs to people who could not work independently. A tremendous sense of teamwork and fellowship at each business makes it possible for clients to succeed in very competitive work situations.
